The Red Bull cars, as expected, finish 1-2 in the opening race of the 2023 season in Bahrain. Verstappen checked out early and there was no catching him.

Fernando Alonso finished 3rd in the Aston Martin car. I don't think most people expected that finish. Great result for them.

2 weeks until the next race in Saudi Arabia.

Verstappen's Red Bull took a shit during qualifying, leaving him to start from 15th on the grid for the Saudi GP in Jeddah.

Sergio Perez won the race with Verstappen 5 seconds behind in second and Fernando finishing third in the Aston Martin car, again beating the Mercedes factory team. F1 officials again stepped on their dicks with a penalty on Alonso that turned into a complete shitshow, as it typically does when it comes to penalties.

    Happy for Checo.

    Happy for Checo.

Yeah, me too. He tolerates a lot of shit being the #2 driver at Red Bull. But he does get a pretty healthy paycheck for staying in his lane and letting Verstappen be Red Bull's golden boy, so there's that. There are worse ways to make a living.

    Australia up next.

Worse because there's hardly any passing and 90% of the field has no chance to win.

Verstappen, Hamilton and Alonso take the top 3 spots in a pretty crazy Australian Grand Prix. Multiple crashes, multiple restarts, and the race results being decided off-track.

Azerbaijan next at the end of the month.
