Thanks. I’ll pass on the wishes to a few people I know that are there - most of my family has long since left both Russia and Ukraine. But plenty of friends and acquaintances. My grandmother didn’t want to leave, she may not have the arm for Molotovs but she can make some delicious cakes that will inevitably lead to diabetes. She’s survived the the Soviets, Germans, the Soviets again, making too many cakes for my grandfather, burying both of her children, and having a very disappointing set of grandchildren, so she’s used to misery.UW_Doog_Bot said:

Shit, I was going to be in Kyiv in a few months. It’s lovely there in June. Lots of trees and flowers in bloom, beautiful women, a mix of old and modern Europe, people are very welcoming and friendly if you don’t arrive in a tank, always something to do.
