Would we change to mountain?PurpleThrobber said:
Greater Idaho will be in the Mountain Time Zone. Spokane, Bend, Reno - all MDT. 10PM sunsets over the Columbia at the Battle of Vantage historic marker will be awesome.BleachedAnusDawg said:Right now, in the dead of winter, many people commute to work and back home in the dark both ways. It sucks and is depressing. I imagine there are a lot of folks stuck in factories, service workers, etc who don't get much of a peek outside all day long. This will at least allow your evening commute to have some daylight.
The Seattle and Cali leftists do whatever the fuck you want. -

I'd rather go to work in the dark then get off and it's already dark at 330MikeDamone said:Awesome. In December it won’t get daylight until 9am. Good job. But hey, I guess I can do shit outside from 4 to 5 pm. So that’s cool.

Why not set it ahead 2 hours then? What about people who get off work at 5:30? This would also help people who work graveyard. Any thoughts on swing shift?Goduckies said:

Frankly, I'd be fine with clocks set so that sunset was always at 930 pm.MikeDamone said:

So the clock would change a minute a day. Seems doable.BleachedAnusDawg said:

Sleep experts say standard time is better. Humans get better sleep when there is more sunshine in the morning and less in the evening.
I can't think of any situation during summer where I'd need an extra hour of daylight. Whatever outdoor activity I have scheduled in the evening can always be scheduled an hour earlier. An extra hour of sunlight in the evening during winter isn't worth anything, either. It's cold, so I'm staying inside either way. -
You need only go about 100 miles N of the border to get a 3:30 sunset.MikeDamone said:
