As the father of daughters I have many thoughts on this. We’ve encouraged independence first. You don’t need to wait for Mr. Right to come along to fulfill a dream.

One of the problems is that the quality of men in the US has definitely dropped. Geezus, just look at all the homeless drug adicts and soi boys out there. I'd say that a huge percentage of male attorneys and say brokers are absolute narcisstic pricks. For an attractive, independent college educated woman, there isn't a lot to choose from especially if they can't contemplate marrying an electrician or plumber. If you are an unattractive educated woman, you can pick another unattractive lonely educated woman or what? When the percentage of college enrollments are 57% women you have the opposite situation from China, which offs so many women babies that there aren't enough women to go around for the males.

Yup, most of them in mid to late thirties before they can buy a house, not really sure what the message is but definitely not the one where they can wait 40 to have kids

You can't discount that part of the problem is the quality of many of the available men.

To some it may be. We’ve always stressed independence and being self-sufficient. They’ll have no difficulty attracting quality men. They’re not gonna be cat lady sitting alone.
