Washington coast razor clamming: best beach
Can’t figure out how to post pole, so which is best:
a). Kalaloch (Kalaloch area beaches, Olympic NP)
b). Mocrocks (Copalis River to Moclips)
c). Copalis (Ocean Shores to Copalis River)
d). Twin Harbors (Westport through Grayland)
e). Long Beach Peninsula

We entertained ourselves waiting for low tide by shooting at raccoons invading our camp with wrist rockets. I love Kalaloch.
1). Copalis. Easy limit every time. Green Lantern Tavern, plus Ocean Shores, and Hoquiam/Aberdeen breweries on way home.
2). Mocrocks. Easy to moderate limit every time. Like above, Green Lantern Tavern, plus Ocean Shores, and Hoquiam/Aberdeen breweries on way home. Also Seabrook.
3). Twin Harbors. The only one so far where I’ve had less than limit digs. Westport is great, so still a fun beach.
All three with Ranch House BBQ on way back if you are taking SR-8 to/through Olympia.
I’ll have to hit Long Beach one of these days for a dig. Kalaloch is rarely open, so not sure if or when I’ll do that, especially because I get fast/easy limits at Copalis.
I dig the Road House, too. I usually go with the half chicken with beans, slaw and a cornbread muffin. It's great when you're coming back from fishing and get a great meal in hand in a matter of minutes.
I’m looking for good public hard shell clamming areas in Western Washington. Is there one there?
The only clam I’ve ever caught was like some 100 year old geoduck in Hood Canal.
I do love the farmed mussels.
There's a little sandwich place right as you come into town from the south named Gear Heads - killer sandwiches. We stop there on our way home from crabbing when we're up at Ft. Flagler getting dungies.
