This section would fit better in the Big Belly Laugh thread that’s going right now.
“In the years since Donald Trump's seizure of the Republican Party, some of those "respectable" conservatives have chosen to break away from their party. One can certainly question their past records and current motivations, but in many cases this has demanded great personal and political courage. And there's no denying that those who want to save democracy need as many allies as they can get, irrespective of ideological differences.
Only a few of those conservatives have been willing to reckon honestly with their role in creating and empowering the present-day fascist movement. The temptation to whitewash recent history and present themselves in a noble light can be too much to resist.
As Bill Kristol wrote last September, it is time to face the facts: "Real, existing conservatism as it exists in America in 2020 is an accomplice to, an apologist for, and an enabler of Trump's nativist, populist, unconservative, and illiberal authoritarianism." But Kristol is still eager to embrace the conservatism of the 1980s, and to deny its clear connection to what we face now.”
The trash article that was linked actually leads with this: The Republican Party's assault on American democracy is an imminent existential crisis. But this disaster was long in the making.
I stopped reading then. These people are seriously delusional.

It’s a perfectly human reaction to run away when confronted with an uncomfortable truth.
Biden really cant handle even the slightest bit of criticism without getting super angry. I always figured they were insulating and hiding him because of cognitive stuff.
It probably still is a bit that but I think it's to limit the amount of direct criticism he gets so that he doesn't go lashing out lol

What’s going to be hilarious (and predictable) is the because of all the inflation talk and length of supply chains at this moment, a lot of over correcting is going on in terms of inventory purchases to satisfy current demand. The toll of inflation is going to have an inevitable drop in demand by consumers and earnings are going to crater as companies are sitting on expensive per unit inventories and too much inventory.
Then the layoffs come for the corporate employees that haven’t been hit nearly as hard as the lower classes to this point. Companies have been over paying for these type of workers for the last year and a half, just to get warm bodies in the door.

You mean like Trudeau?
I don’t follow Canadian politics. America first.
And? Any evidence of trump supporters marching through the streets and burning buildings? What is that you have 'observed'?

And at this point, I'm not so certain about the 'functional' part.

Trump supporters burning down the country? Only a hypocritical lying ass would make that statement after what rats have done over the past 6 years.
You just aren't worth the time. You aren't smart or honest enough to participate kobe.
