From the get-go, the feeling was that Conerly would never leave Seattle. But as his recruitment blew up, it made it tougher and tougher for him to stay home.

While we're not entirely ready to call the Trojans the team to beat, there is a lot of palpable buzz that USC is in a good position to land Conerly.

Lincoln isn't playing around down in LA. USC has been asleep at the wheel since Pete Carroll left but they're getting their shit together and they'll be a perennial playoff contender until Riley leaves.

The rest of the Pac 12 is playing for second at this point.
