Decidedly, the west coast cities are bigger cesspools. The east coast cities hide their homelessness in public housing built back in the late 50's and 60's.

It has a uniquely weird problem. Its kind of hard to explain but driving there is unnecessarily difficult. Everything is a bit denser than it probably should be with not enough streetlights. Like I found myself doing a ton of U turns when I lived there.
I have been to Vegas at least 150 times over 4 decades. It has gone so down hill over the last few decades that it now depresses me. My hope is that I never have to go again. My last born and raised Vegas friend is about to depart to another state so the odds are that I will never have a reason to. This is going to sound horrible but the place was so much better when the mob was in charge.
Clearly liberal politics have destroyed many west coast cities but I just don't get Vegas.
The last time I was there I got stuck in the MGM Grand. I had not stayed there since its opening week 28 years ago. I couldn't believe how run down and tired the place was. My room was beat up and filthy. I made the mistake of taking a taxi from the convention center to the hotel during rush hour. It took over an hour. The breakfast buffet was $30. They used to be the big draw to Vegas. $2.99 for all you could eat. $75 filet's? Really?
Entertainment? A family of four can spend $500 just to see Beatles Love. There are literally zero good deals to be had.
The city used to be safe during late night. That is no longer the case. The transgender hookers are everywhere. Bums sitting on the sidewalk smoking pot. Its just trashy in every way.
You would think that with all the increased prices and all the convention business, Vegas couldn't possibly fuck it up, but they did.
Last but not least, If I had a nickel for every gambler who told me they never lose in Vegas I would be able to rebuild the Sahara.
I have a friend in Reno right now. He said that place has gone down the shitter too. I don't get it.

We took our teens to Vegas a few years back. They loved it. Did the AB&B at the Signature Towers. Had a great time. They’ve been begging to go back.
We have been many places over the years and for some reason Vegas is one of their favorites. Yes, it’s no longer a cheap thrill. Reno has always been asshoe to me.
Went there this last summer. Couldn't believe the number of homeless and drug addicts just sitting out on the strip.
North Vegas was always a shithole but they kept the strip usually at least straight for the tourists.
Not anymore, I watched people brazenly shooting up and passing out on the grass in front of Ceasars, watched multiple people walk in with bags and take what they want from the Walgreens at the Venetian, and yeah, hookers on the main drag corners.
Would be cool if I was still young and into visiting shitholes but not so much when I'm married and trying to have a nice time with the wife.
Oh right, and the constant mask nazi bullshit. Fuck that noise, probably not going back to Vegas for at least a decade.

My late sister went to Vegas many times and always urged me to go there. But I haven't. I've been to Tahoe several times, but not Vegas.
The hottest woman I ever picked up in my uber in San Francisco was a tranni... like Dime fake tits and everything... and then he she spoke.... instant turnoff lol.

It's probably the city with the least amount of like young professionals.
Just people in "the industry" or real estate agents
