June Jones walked out of negotiations (as negotiating ploy) and UH moves on to number 2.

The fans wanted Jones but the school and legislators had concerns about work ethic and personal demons.

So they played June and hired Timmy to appease the fan base.

    Marketing and name-recognition is the play these days. Timmy Chang has pull with the Poly moms who want to suck his dick. Hawaii legend.

    He'll be fine if he hires a decent staff.

    That is precisely why UH wanted to hire June Jones with Timmy as head coach in waiting.

    Of course, they didn't tell June, they just offered him a two year contract with AD veto power over the hiring of assistants. As he was walking out they offered him a third year.

    A UH spokesperson called June "Pilau" for the way he tried to negotiate thru the media.

    Pilau : adj. Dirty; filthy; especially, of a bad smell.


    The people of Hawaii are absolutely enamored with June Jones.

    You can't make this shit up (maybe fudgie could, but then it wouldn't be true).
