You will hear lots of silly things spouted at public schools and at private schools as well. It is the nature of the beast. I’m sure at least two Roosevelt administrators were tired of hearing from me about issues I cared about. But it had some effect. And I talked to my kids. I know my wife and I had more influence on them than any administrator at district HQ.
As for Howard Zinn, I talked with my kids about him. They weren't harmed by being exposed to him.

Official stats so you know how hard they tried to move the goal posts. The dazzler opposes parental choice through vouchers as do almost all dems. That is all you need to know. Also, blue state governors and county and city dems are in thrall to the teacher unions and like the dazzler don't actually give a sh*t about actually educating kids, especially black kids. So, Newsom sends his kids to private schools which remains open and then can't blow the public teacher unions hard enough.PurpleThrobber said:

Educated means that the TOP priority is kids being able to read, write and do basic math. Everything else is dependent on the basics. Everything. Pretending to teach biology to someone who can't read is beyond futile. And even with the sciences, the schools spend more time on indoctrination than actual science. Biology becomes environmental science and fake news about GMO, pesticides et al. Sex is a choice. Chemistry becomes global warming and the beauty of cheap green renewables. No time is spent on the actual science behind wind and solar. The math behind batteries and the chemicals needed to make them work isn't taught. Nukes are bad for some unknown reason. No diversity of thought is allowed.hardhat said:

I'll bet you $500 that what few white kids who do attend the Detroit public schools, still outperform the black kids.
And yet despite the fact that you claim the test results in your one cherry picked district in Colorado, are "mediocre" you still concede that they are better than the scores for black kids in Seattle that you were crowing about. Hell of an argument Dazzler.
