Why on God's Earth would anyone be ashamed for catching a cold? Could it possibly be due to the holier than thou complex that's so prevalent within the COVID community?

God forbid someone take personal responsibility for their health. God forbid a person doesn't have the internal fortitude to deal with adversity. Sometimes shit just happens. Deal with it.
Wasting energy on dealing with 'shame' for something out of one's control is mental illness.

The ones who freak out on others for trying to live a normal life should feel shame when they get Covid. They should admit they believed lies and are gullible.

When I had the cold for about 12 hours in September, got a lot of “what do you think about Covid now”. My response was it was even lighter than I thought it would be and that my risk assessment turned about to be correct. Getting a slight cold was priced in. Response to that is always been you would never gotten it all with a vaccine.
My wife’s family forced her, myself and kids to get negative Covid tests before coming over for Xmas. My wife kicked and screamed for like a week. We ultimately did, now their entire vaxxed family has it, and frankly worse than we had it. They are giving the vaccine credit for it not being worse than it is.
Fuck off to everyone. My 3 year old has had 20 negative tests and has tested positive for antibodies. -
A bunch of crazed leftists of extended family all got covid for Christmas. All family plans were canceled. Still getting lectured about the jab. It is embarrassing when triple jabbed people tell you to get it and the new excuse is that it cuts symptoms. Now I take the gloves off. I don't even bother tiptoeing around the topic. I remind them of Biden shitting on the jab before the election and Fauci and that crazy woman wolensky promised life back to normal after the first round.
