Has any coach failed faster than DeBoer?

Always someone elses fault. Can't expect the O line coach to coach the O line but boy he can recruit those guys that can't gain a yard to save their fat ass

    Wonderful

    The program you deserve

Don James had Gilby as OC

Weird, "shitty" assistants seem to do better under better HCs
    Don James is dead

Scheme will matter. The most important thing DeBoer can do is stay with, or slightly ahead of, the curve. In the one video I’ve seen of Grubb he was coaching the o line so hopefully he cares and can get something out of huff and his guys. Unfortunately it’s the only option at this point.

I liked Deboer. He’s dead to me now. Huff is horrifying at his job. Waiting for the next coach.

If a bad oline coach retention enough to justify hating a head coach. I’m going to arbitrarily put the Nevada transfer linebacker (Daiyan Henley) as my line in the sand on hating DeBoer or not. If he big dicks Henley away from Riley… I’ll forgive DeBoer for retaining huff. If he doesn’t… I’m off the DeBoer train for now.

I changed my handle because dawgs can’t dance without a coaching staff that can recruit… like race said, we are now a mountain west team with all of the upside of a good coaching staff that will take 3 years to demonstrate that you should join us st Washington because we are on the rise… how well will this work in this environment when truthfully it’s all about the Roar of the Crowd and all I expect to hear is dead silence

Fresno North Dawgs are on the hunt or at least they are for the next 4-5 years. Maybe we can be the SDSU North Dawgtecs next?

The problem is that Huff can bring in all the big dicks we? want but they turn into frightened little turtles once they get here.

Huff sucks and it’s very doogly to think it’s OK to keep him as OL coach because of his recruiter prowess.

3 star nobodies are better than the overhyped, under developed 4 stars we seem to get. But by all means keep thinking Greg Biggins’ rankings are important.
    Uhh, that’s the poont

My point is that marginally more talented OL don’t even matter if you can’t develop them. We haven’t had one OL as good as 2016. At a certain point the recruiting doesn’t matter anymore and let’s face it, we don’t get many surefire 5* studs like the blue bloods.

There was always going to be a drop off due to bad recruiting classes inherited by Huff but it should have turned around by 2020 with his guys in there.. Instead it got worse.

Maybe it's all around program malaise and he'll turn it around. A better offense will cover for him to an extent. It still should've been an easy choice to let him go. Keeping a non-performing coach from the previous staff is riskier than trying someone new.

All good. Part of me thought that might be the case, but the asshat in me wanted to be snarky.

We know who's gonna win that one.

Nice of Scott to show up in his 6th year on the job

Chris Tormey and I are laughing at all this

Took DJ a while to win a natty. You would have fired him after his first six years. Maybe it took him a while to get his reads down
