All the Biden stuff aside, and all the arguments about college and their bullshit prices and spending aside, because I know that makes it worse....it really doesn't take a genius to plan and execute an affordable college degree.
I constantly did the math on how much I was borrowing, what I was getting a degree in, what I could expect to make after getting the degree, etc. Why aren't college students and future college students doing the same thing? If you can understand pre-algebra, you can understand planning your college debt.

Because schools and parents these days tell their kids to "be what you want to be" so a lot go to school and spend 150K+ on a degree in Ancient Chocolate Chip Cookie Cutting Philosophy then complain no one will hire them.
You are right you can be smart and get a good degree for a reasonable price you can pay off quick. Problem is a lot of 18 year olds are still really fucking stupid and don't understand the concept you will need to pay back what you borrow so better do some research and pick something quality.

Which is sad, because instead of turning and pointing to the schools and their parents for taking accountability, they point to the rest of society and say "you owe me!!! It's your fault!!!!!!! 111"

You do realize that you’re mostly talking about Rat party voters here?
Shouldn’t be too shocked that a party filled with people who have always believed they had an entitlement to the labor of others extends that belief to cover their student loans.
