When do they implement a surcharge for the fat employees? It's a conscious decision to become fat and unhealthy IMO. They're costing the company more than any Covid positive patient. Utter BS. As much as I dislike shopping WinCo I may have to.
These are loss leaders. On the whole, in Southwest Portland area, Winco is the cheapest, but they don't run loss leaders (pretty ghetto for SW Portland). Both of these are great prices. Last year they were both under $5.00. Only 20% higher this year.
PS In the old days, suppliers - like the big meat suppliers had a lot of leverage (ability to manipulate prices). Today, the big retailers are driving prices. They are always chasing better quality and cheaper prices and have a huge purchasing leverage. You want to phuck with Costco or Kroger - good luck. Of course this is news to the fake Indian and the idiot that is posing as the dementia patient's spokesman.
I can't tell a difference in meat from one store to the next. The spam I get at Albertsons tastes the same as the Spam at Wal-Mart. But that's just me.
