What is your favorite recruiting story or recruitment that you remember?

I’ve hear Dick Baird talk about when Jamir Miller and a few others were on campus and they were finishing up the visit at the Ram. As they’re seriously digging into their burgers Baird allegedly said “You guys aren’t coming here, are you?” They told him no and asked how he knew and he said “because you guys are eating those things like you’re never coming back here again.”

Also loved Jimmy Lake supposedly staying on the phone for three hours the night before NSD when he was wavering and think he was gonna go with N’Keal Harry to ASU. It was then that Iunderstood how these coaches have to debase themselves to please a bunch of 17 and 18 year old kids and how generally humiliating that must be at times.

I still remember all the guys Sark was supposedly going to get to flip on signing day year after year that never came to fruition. The best was when Kim and Co believed him and had to rip players bios out of their signing day programs. It's a professional outfit they run there

I've never followed recruiting that closely, but the night Reggie Williams announced he was going to UW, I was driving from Portland to Seattle and I was around Chehalis when I heard the news. I was honking the horn and flashing the lights and fired up

What ultimately made you decide WSU was the right place for you?

Waseem: Coach Ball he was always honest to me. I had other coaches come into my house and promise me a starting position and all kinda stuff. Coach Ball promised me he would coach me up. Also, Coach Wulff came to my house and ate my dad's Gumbo then used my bathroom (#2) so we were family at that point.
