Penix Rising

I like Mike Penix, or at least I did before he decided that purple was his color. I was surprised when I looked at his stats and discovered he was actually Anthony Brown. He has a much better arm than Brown, but this is eerie in how similar their career numbers are. It’s almost like the same player, knee injuries and all. Prepare for six games of Bryce Young and six games of Braxton Buttmeister from the same guy.backthepack said:
Indiana’s has had like a bottom 10 pass pro OL for the past 3-4 years. They gave up 32 pressures in the Ohio State game last year.RoadDawg55 said:
I’ve only watched him once or twice, but these are good throws. His protection sucks too. I think we actually protect better than Indiana. Give this guy time and he does have an arm.backthepack said:
i’m not even a big penix guy but holy shut the fuck up quoock. Brown couldn’t make any of these throws hthdtd said:Yikes, this guy makes Anthony Brown look like Cam Newton. The worst? thing Cristobal did was bringing Brown in instead of just letting it rip with the young guys.
Career numbers, Brown has attempted 1054 shitty passes and Penix is at 576 so for any career totals it’s 1.83x.

What multiplier do you have to apply to account for Indiana?...RatherBeBrewing said:

If he doesn't tear his ACL getting off the plane at Sea Tac we? are in good shape

That’s why I always fly Paine Field now, less chance of injuring myself.GaearGrimsrud said:If he doesn't tear his ACL getting off the plane at Sea Tac we? are in good shape

I watched Indiana and Penix play Ohio State and I watched Brown and Oregon in Brown's best game - Ohio State
Penix is 100 times better but Brown stays healthy and can run which is his best thing going for him -
Penix Pals and DeBoner Donors.... We are already better than last season
-
This is a genius move by DeBoner. He's done his homework and understands the UW culture and fanbase. Already setting himself up to play to the "wait till next year" crowd, and he knows they will eat it up. Bring in a QB that can't stay healthy and give yourself an excuse for a shitty season when he inevitably goes down in week 3.

Things I learned just now (after thinking for a while about what the hell your question meant):ntxduck said:

1.) Brown was a transfer.
2.) From BC.
You can't expect me to keep up with all the hawt Duck quarterbacking news in this economy! -
No. We don’t have a good QB on the roster. A good one beats out Morris and doesn’t throw 4 picks against the Cuog.Seven_Eleven said:This is a genius move by DeBoner. They will be better if they stay under DeBoer, but neither is the guy.
The portal gives us a chance. Maybe Penix is good. If he is, the available QB’s the next year will want to play at UW.
