While I think you'd have to live under a rock to be a CFB fan and not know who the QB of Alabama is, I do think that the pool of finalists this year was underwhelming.

I didnt either. I really only watch ASU and the occassional pac game. I really dont care who of like 5 teams wins it each year.
I knew he was having a good year but I didn't realize it was Heisman winning good.
QB stats seem to be more and more meaningless with how much teams throw the ball. Seems like the award was given out as an "MVP" for best player on best team rather than any individual greatness.

Hutchinson or the d tackle at Georgia we’re probably the best players in cfb. But you can’t win on defense because they say so.
Young came out with a top six recently headlined by Alabama, Oklahoma, Penn State, Texas, USC and Washington. He visited five of the schools but never made it out to Penn State. Young was born in Philadelphia and wanted to include the Nittany Lions since it was a school he liked growing up.
He visited Bama once, Texas and Washington twice, Oklahoma three times and USC a number of times over the last year. The Longhorns already have a ’20 QB in the fold but continue to recruit Young and said they would take two if he wanted to come.
Washington has been on Young as long as anyone and he has a very good relationship with both Bush Hamdan (OC) and Chris Petersen.
Is it me, or is the college football media shifting from star player focus to coach focus?
Coaches are no longer tied to schools in the way they used to be. As a result, coaches have started to build their own brands independent of schools they coach at
