Yes and he suffered ACL injuries to end his season twice as well as a separated throwing shoulder in Oct of this year (not needing surgery).Beno4Life said:Is Penix a lefty?
He had his best season by far under DeBoer in 2019. Jack Tuttle (transfer from Utah) replaced him after his injury in 2021 and didn't do all that well either. -

5-1 in 2020 as a starter before getting hurt. He almost led IU to an upset of Ohio State in Columbus, throwing for just shy of 500 yards and 5 TDs. I think he was considered a darkhorse Heisman candidate at the time. Then he played poorly against Maryland and got hurt.
Didn't watch him this year but it looks like he was bad. -
