Forgive me for being way behind the times and not knowing this shit, but do people really have to charge their electric cars at a designated charging station somewhere, instead of at their home? If so, what a massive, deal-breaking inconvenience.

Homeowner can charge at home. Using a standard 110 volt plug it takes between 20-40 hours to charge a depleted battery (depending on the battery size). It takes about a third as long if you can get a 220 volt outlet in your garage. Still pretty inconvenient.

Oh look at the fucking elitist bigot who thinks everyone has a home. What about the homeless bigot? Where are they supposed to charge their electric vehicles?
To charge on 220V you need a 70 amp circuit. Most homes won't have room in the electrical panel for that. Also the infrastructure can't handle the additional; load of everyone charging an electric car. There isn't enough electrical generation capascity and the electrical grid from the power plant down to a the house would all have to be rebuilt. All of it! Hell Texas has power and they couldn't heat homes. Nuke up or die.

Can you imagine a five hundred unit apartment complex trying to charge up to 750 electric cars after work (assuming 1.5 cars per apartment). The complex would need its own freaking substation. Of course they don't cost nothing.

I was just doing this math the other day. Big 260+ luxury apartment unit going up nearby. Told the wife probably 400 more vehicles in the area. A lot of EV's around here, especially Tesla's. But don't worry. Costco is down the street they can line up there and watch a1000 cars pass through the costco gas station.
Guaranteed if they had stations they would just argue that they are too stupid to use them. Like good ol Joe said about them being able to hire lawyers and accountants.

Put charging stations in poor areas and within weeks they'll be destroyed. It's already happening in areas around Los Angeles.
Do they have whites only charging stations? Why wouldn’t they be able to access charging stations?
You recall Moochelle's "food deserts"?
A pitch on Shark Tank to eliminate food deserts received massive interest from the sharks because all of them are leftist dipshits. Rich dipshits but, in the end, just privileged dipshits who have figured out that an investment of $100,000 for 10% of the company theoretically means the company is valued at $1,000,000.

Communities better start building new firehouses ASAP. The number of electrical fires these cheesy little toys are going to cause will be off the charts.

Don't forget that Michael Bloomberg could've made every US resident a Millionaire with his 500mil in campaign funds he spent.

Leftards can't do math, either.
That was a classic. This was just basic basic math and if the writer had a lick of common sense he would have known something was wrong. But leftards are proudly ignorant and have very strong feelings about how inflation is good and that spending another $3 trillion on Build Back Better (otherwise known as the latest free sh*t welfare program) would actually build anything and how it would actually reduce inflation.

So Cal Edison is rolling out a new plan where they don't want you to use any power between 4PM and 9PM including coming home and charging your car
The amount of sheer retardation gets to be a bit much at times
Rather than provide power which is their job they are out to change the world for the worse
If everyone bought electric cars the Cali grid would be fucked beyond recognition.
But leftards don't do scale. Iron law
Thought I would dumb it down for them
