They named Thibodeaux defensive player of the year over Lloyd so maybe they had to change their defensive grading to value not making plays and Turner was great at that.

That’s a recruiting ranking bullshit award. The voters can’t even name 5 safeties without looking at a list. He played in like 8 games and didn’t even start more than half the games. Weird recognition. It’s meaningless but it’s still bullshit.

Lloyd not being the defensive player of the year is a travesty and shows they didn’t watch the games. He is the best player in the conference on either side of the ball and it’s not close.
