yep, it's what happened at UW and it will happen again at USC. The question is will the USC media buy it? Not all of them liked the hire in the first place
They need to fire Hoke. It's not happening with him. Throw $6-8 million at Harbaugh to come back
It takes 4-5 years to build a team. As cliché as that sounds it's reality. Nothing has changed in college football. Auburn got lucky twice-Not reality . Michigan can keep hiring and firing coordinators and head coaches and will never get anywhere. They fired Borges? Not Al's fault, Michigan just stunk on offense because their players stunk and the defense didn't help them. Al Borges is a proven commodity. NUSS wouldn't have helped UM one ounce last year.

I think Harbaugh would seriously consider it if they threw a shit ton of $$$ his way. His act is wearing thin in San Fran(ILTCIT, IWILTD) and if he doesn't win a Super Bowel this year, he might be DAO and looking for a new job anyway.
Pete Carroll won in year three. Saban at LSU was also year four. Jimbo Fisher won in year four.
Basically every national title head coach since 2000 has won a natty within his first four years. The only exception is Mack Brown and if Texas had a better head coach they probably would have been a dynasty.
Look at the Huskies recent history. Don James established himself by year three, Rick Neuheisel had peaked by year two, Lambo proved to be a bum year one, Jim Owens made his mark year four, Ty/Sark should have been gone after year three.
PLSSFS point about 4-5 years is fucktarded and backwards.

Jimbo Fisher had a good laugh at this.
It may take 4-5 years to build a team but great coaches can and will do it quicker (numerous examples noted here) and more importantly, you don't get year 5 when you go off track before that. Its similar in the business world and investing. You cut your fucking losses when the plan goes off track and certain targets, checkpoints, etc aren't hit. Or you make small changes and adapt. Tyrone was a perfect example after 2007. Sark could have been fired in 2011 but instead the AD chose to upgrade the entire D staff and throw a blank check at the top recruiter on the west coast. Why? Because the original plan was going off course and headed for a losing season in 2012, year 4.
Hoke's SRS so far is 8-21-41. That is a steep drop in two seasons. He has veered way off course and needs a top 20/25 season (probably Svens 10 wins) to keep his job. If he can't do that, Michigan should cut its losses.

That is right out of Dude-Brah's script.
He needs another 10+ win season this year or he should be door.ass.out.
Not sure Harbaugh has any interesting in going there though. I like the idea of throwing a truckload of cash at him.
Bob Stoops national championship in year 2.
Urban Meyer national championship in year 2.
Gene Chizik national championship in year 2.
Nick Saban national championship in year 3.
Welcome to reality.
Ty and Sark should have been fired after year 3.
Case closed.
