Yeah well they paid the same lip service with the Lake hireGladstone said:DeBoer would be a monster hire. You’ll live longer and be happier if you wait to hate the recruiting until given reason to. It’s been openly stated to be a priority for the next staff.

This. He has 23 commits. There are a bunch of schools right below them sitting at 12 and 13 commits. BC will be lucky to finish in the top 40.FremontTroll said:
His class is full and he’s got two 4*s. That’s a #40 class when all is said and done.backthepack said:MikeDamone said:The overriding truth is WeAreAFatLesboSchool. It’s cute you guys think anything dramatic is going to change. Lakes W/L record had nothing to do with firing him. It wasn’t an issue.
Oh boy it got bumped down a spot to #26 this week!FremontTroll said:
Lol wtf no he doesn’t.backthepack said:
He has a top 25 class at fucking Boston College in year 2...AtomicDawg said:
I think the point is he hasn’t done jack shit. Big chance. Just seems overly dramatic for situation whether or not you like debonerbackthepack said:
Yeah. Hafley has proven to be an excellent recruiter. I’d rather roll the dice with that.FremontTroll said:Imagine going scorched earth on the forums for fucking Hafley, lol.
Either DeBoer or Hafley are a roll of the dice. DeBoer has a little more of a track record of success but either way we apparently couldn’t compete with the big kids.
What a dumb fucking take -
He’s close, he’s got the 26th ranked classFremontTroll said:

Weren’t you dry humping Moore’s ass?backthepack said:
I have no preference. I just want a coach who is proven to be a good recruiter at the p5 level. Enough of this Mickey mouse well we coach guys better bullshit.GreenRiverGatorz said:If we're using the selective stats bitching approach, does this mean you prefer the guy who is 0-5 against his in-state rival?

I'm a simple man so I look for simple metrics like "has this guy ever been a HC, and if so, did he win?" The answer to both is yes with the Boner. Sure.gif I'd love to have gotten Stoops or some guaranteed top 5 Coach, but we didn't. Go figure. Of the options that are left I will take a proven winner (at any level) and take my chances. Of course there is a chance that he sucks at recruiting and sucks at coaching and we go 5-8 the next two years and fire him. Okay, then we start over and try to find the next DJ. LRR. It's a crapshoot. Unless you hire Stoops, Saban or Urbs.backthepack said:
Naw. I'm just tired of this program taking recruiting not seriously.PostGameOrangeSlices said:"Give me attention "
Mark me down as DeBonor Donor until we prove that he sucks. I'm high on him. Agree he does need to find and hire some hired gun recruiters. -
doesn't matter who we hire
he is shit until he isn't. Fire anyone involved in the hiring process until he wins. or she wins -
I hate —insert name here—
I’ll update when the hire is announced -
He at least beat Montana that has to count for something
-
Watch tan interview with deboner. Seems like a smart down to earth upbeat guy. Kids ply hard for him.

However there is still hope on this hire
