I was disavowed by my brother due to Trump

Never cared all that much for my family anyway

My fam is split down the middle so isolating like what you have is hard to do. Plus I'd be quick to call out those people as assholes and logic them to death. One buddy has been coming along slowly. When I point out at the game people are required to wear a mask despite showing proof of vax the logic resonates pretty quickly. His wife however was one of the wipe down your grocery types at the beginning of this thing so he walks a fine line at home.

I'd say there is hope for the future but walking across campus on Monday from the hoops game almost every student was wearing a mask, outside. Still seeing people wearing them in their car, alone. I'd say you can't make this shit up, but clearly you can.

TDS is turning into truth derangement syndrome, it’s not about trump anymore. He was just the first figure at the national level to break through the velvet ropes of the official narrative. Is there honestly a single narrative intact at this point? It’s just hard to see how this fully plays out and how we rebuild social trust.

This really difficult when it's your immediate family.

True story, my mother disinvited me for the holidays this year because I'm unvaxxed. Apparently I'm an "exisistential threat to children".

"Mom, have you looked at the raw data that would support that claim?" *Blank-stare*

My brother lost.his.shit. when I told him 1/6 wasn't a real insurrection, and that sleepy Joe was demented.

My sister's last words were to me were "why are we friends?"

Trying to explain the covid science to my dad and the convo ended when he played the Trump card.

Of the four - two attorneys, a degree in biology and another working on an MBA.

It's really fucking tough to not have a hatred for the main stream narrative makers.

    Brains are broken.

I shared this awhile back but our first big family get together in August I was told I could "come over and either wear a mask inside or stay outside". Even after showing that natural infection is just as effective I basically got a version of "yea, but still".

I realized that after the vaccines rolled out people would start to get weird I just didn't expect brainwashing at this level.
The fact that most American's aren't even willing to listen to the facts if spoon fed to them shows how crappy our public school system is. Just shut up and mindlessly obey.

I just had to correct Mrs. Throbber v2.0 when she called Ivermectin 'horse pills'.

She likes the Zinc gummies alot though.

So crazy to take any of this that seriously. It’s mostly just hyped up bullshit that has no bearings on our lives.

The other dumb aspect it how extreme every issue is. The middle ground doesn’t exist to many.

My BIL/SIL just vaxxed their three kids (all under age 11) so they could go to a Gonzaga basketball game in Seattle in a couple weeks. Really important family trip building memories, she says.

    Shook my damned head.

It's probably best the Throbber's an orphan (RIP, my two US Military veteran dads and public school educator mom). Would probably turn into some weird argument over Thanksgiving and I ain't got time for that bullshit.

I was allowed to see nieces in Portland in September, but it had to be outside and they had to be six feet away outside. It was kind of like, fine, it's better than nothing. At least the weather was really nice and they seem to live several miles from the Antifa freaks.

No longer the land of the free and the home of the brave. Too many Americans sucking up fear like a case of Brawny paper towels. Anyone tell them that the flu is more dangerous to children than the chicom crud? Of course not. Certainly not Fow Chee.
