The pattern says we win both (CU and Cuogs) and lose a bowl game.

Lose 2

Win 2

Lose 2

Win 2

Lose 2 and now 4-6.

I can see us be losing, cuogs celebrating by denying us bowl eligibility, and then they cuog it

I could see @RuffaloSoldier putting us out of our misery this week, as well. However, not the script.

(and ya, I saw the pattern before loosing to 0regon/ASU).

Would we actually accept a bowl game offer at 6-6 with a new head coach coming in though?

You guys are a lot better than coug. It’s going to come down to how motivated UW is. If you don’t want to be there coug has a chance.

Leave Morris on the bench and stack the line on D, and UW goes 3-0 the rest of the way.

About half of the defense, including a couple of the best players who I won't name, shut it down against ASU. The defense regressed since the Oregon game and the primary reason is that UW doesn't have 11 defensive players committed to play hard nosed football.

So, bottom line is that UW is not winning another game this season.

Once upon a time the gloomy November days filled with rain and cold bred a tough football player worthy of the Purple and the Gold

It is a very hard game to play as it is. Throw in bad coaches and firing of coaches and the desire to just get it over becomes too strong to resist

It was first game of 1984 season. He was AFC rushing champ as a rookie in 1983.

    Edited to add:

Oh that's right. And they went 12-4 in '84.

'85 was supposed to be Super Bowl time because they had gone 12-4 and had Curt Warner back. But it fell apart.

I was there in the Kingdome when Warner went down on the turf. 60,000 people in there but silent as a church funeral.

Yep. Totally face-planted when expectations were sky high.

1983 was a magical season as I recall

Lose the AFC championship game to a team you beat twice in the regular season

But the Miami game was cool

Was that the origin of the saying that it’s difficult to beat an opponent three times?

Exactly. If I'm Kyler Gordon, at this stage of the season and my college career, you might see me pretending to be occupied on the outside by a receiver (who is neither running a route nor blocking) while I half heartedly drif toward the action in the middle of the field as an ASU RB drags linebackers for yet another 8-12 yard gain. Why go stick your head in there and risk injury? That kind of football hurts, and the scouts he's playing for are way more interested in his coverage than run support.

Oops I mentioned a name. It's not the only one though.
