It was personal back then.

I was at that game. As UW got in the 50s the crowd turned into a Columbian soccer crowd
We want 60
Owens wouldn't have got out alive
One of the most rabid crowds I have ever been a part of
1990 USC level -
I feel like it was in the early/mid-2000s when I noticed a change with the way the players seemed to behave after games or maybe it was just I didn't see many Washington loses at home before that. Even in the Lambo/early-Neuheisel years there weren't many at home.
I was shocked how friendly things were post-game. I know sports and life and has changed but I remember being shocked with how chummy players seemed after game. I get it. Camps and social media have rapidly changed this even further with how well players from other schools know each other.
This all came to a head after the Montana game when guys were taking pictures with Montana players. I was screaming "what do you do with that picture? Hey! Here's a picture of me after losing to Montana?"
Now with the constant weirdo "dubs down" photoshoots taking place on UW property it might be time to tone it down until they can protect this house.
FYI: Don't share this post with my therapist. -

You're spot on when it began. But when Manase Hopoi attacked Cougs who were dancing on our W in 2005, it was Willingham who reprimanded Hopoi and publicly apologized to WSU. That was really the death knell of any semblance of Husky attitude. One could argue it briefly flared back to life with Azeem Victor and the Death Row Dawgs, but like the movie Awakenings, t'wasn't meant to last.WoolleyDoog said:I feel like it was in the early/mid-2000s when I noticed a change with the way the players seemed to behave after games or maybe it was just I didn't see many Washington loses at home before that. Ha I remember the Hopoi thing and respected it and hated Losingham's response. I remember how jarring it was at first to watch other teams celebrating in Husky Stadium. Those days are so long gone.
I'm optimistic that the Oregon hatred of Washington on current rosters might be fading as any connection to the Oregon guys who got clown stomped in 2016/17 is gone. I saw way less of the stupid dubs down thing this year and it was mostly from their weird 7th year senior guys like Jaylon Redd, who I want to thank for likely sparking the firing of Lake. I'd like to add that on that play rewatching it #0 on Oregon gives a massive late hit out of bounds and then another guy gives the stupid dubs down, both of which should have been flagged.
A lot of the Oregon hatred of Washington is weird. Oregon has about 2 guys on the entire roster from Oregon who play. If I'm some guy from SoCal or Texas or Florida or other places they get weirdos that want to move to Eugene, I'm wondering why the fuck I give a shit about Washington? Vice versa for Washington a bit too, though there are actually guys from Washington on Washington. -
Seems like maybe that changed this year.DerekJohnson said:Now we tell Oregon, "Rep the North! We'll be rootin' for ya!"
Kind of pissed Mario/the refs/Brown didn’t seal the deal on the last possession, as intended.
We need some old lady’s “falling” down stairs in real life. -
That might have turned into an issue in the future but gauging this board it would have been applauded by a lot of Husky fans todayMikeSeaver said:
