Welcome to the Hardcore Husky Forums. Folks who are well-known in Cyberland and not that dumb.
Ken expects Wilcox to be on Jen's list:
"Most out here know very little about Wilcox or his situation. He's very well-respected and is in an almost impossible situation right now. I wouldn't dismiss him so quickly with the limited knowledge most out here have. I like Wilcox a lot. And with the right staff, I think he'd do very, very well at UW."
Anybody know Ken's track record for identifying and advocating for successful coaches?

Negging your customers. Kim's business basics 101.
Only cucks hang out there
It's like the announcer who says it all depends on the spot. No shit
If you are a great coach you get a great staff. If you got the yardage you got the first down
He’s a grand slam.
If he could tempt Tedford or Fresno State's OC to join him at UW, then I might start getting interested.
That is the only thing Kim cares about.
ADs hire people they like and no and aren't a risk even if they fail. Media supports coaches they like and attack coaches that get on their wrong side
Coaches hire assistants that they like to drink with
When we were doing Ty's office I was hanging around and walked in on a bunch of assistants just playing grab ass while the program burned. I'd call them frat boys but like me they probably couldn't get in a frat.
At one time we documented the "great" James assistants and how bad they were when they weren't his assistant.
Other than Mora not SR and Pinkel not a lot of them had much success.
Wilcox could win at Cal if he was any good. Erickson won at Oregon State
You either got it or you don't
His determination to keep gnawing at his plot to rise to glory alongside a friendly coaching staff is alive and well. He has publicly shamed himself for nearly a fucking decade and still lacks any self awareness. The repetitive failures of the Sark coaching tree haven't quieted him down. He constantly gets called out over his embarrassing boot licking but it hasn't slowed him down. I wonder what it would take?
Nothing like losing as an 18pt favorite at home to drive home why letting a failed coach blow out his staff/roster never fucking works.
Pros:
- He's not Lake
- He built a better culture than Petersen at Cal
- Low floor - based on what he did at Cal pre-COVID, doubt he would ever have a losing season at Washington
- The defense will always be good
- Evan Weaver as LB coach?
Cons:- Unexciting - this gets no one to buy tickets to games
- He lost to Lake - but didn't Petersen lose to Willingham AND Sark?
- He's struggling in a Pac-12 that is as bad as it has ever been
- Low ceiling - he's put a decent amount on tape and if he was an elite coach he would have already popped and he hasn't
- His offenses were always Donovan-level bad. Like always.
- Any talk of him being able to beat Oregon or nearly beat Oregon. Oregon DGAF about playing Cal and aren't up for that game every year. Wait till he has to play Oregon when there's a W on the helmet. It's also like how Wilcox was going to stop the Chip Kelly offense because he did it at Boise State then got raped every year at UW.
Did I mention he lost to Lake?Cohen probably thinks he's hawt
I also don’t think there is any legitimacy to the rumor. Just Wilner getting clicks & doing a solid for his buddy (giving him leverage against cal if nothing else).
