Just flipped to it and Peppers came on. Great athlete, seemed to have good head on his shoulders. I was interested in maybe a different story on a young African American kid , a football player from a traditional family who scored well on his SAT ' S and was heading off to Northwestern or Stanford.
Nope, just the same script about a poor kid who made bad choices, his dad in jail for illegal weapons and a dead brother who he looked up to. The brother died in gang violence of course, and Mommy is his role model now.
How many of these stories do we have to sit through in agony. Give me the story of a kid who uses academics, not 40-times, to get a ride to college. Guess what Peppers wants to do after football? Big time rapper (straight from his mouth)
