Win Saturday and I don’t care what you said on Monday
this. If he wins, in hindsight this will be hilarious. He'd have wins @Furd and versus a decent Oregon SKWAD. Things Peterhips could never dream of doing.
If we lose. FIRE HIS ASS
Oh the irony. This is one of the biggest doog comments ever.
Why? I said it would be hilarious if he won after bringing up academis smack. Especially when we suck ass but finally break multiple curses
It wasnt an endorsement of Jimmy.
If that’s the intent I misunderstood.
Some people have been celebrating the win over Stanford and I interpreted as such.
Wins over Stanford and Oregon do not impress me this year. Win the north and I would listen, but even that isn’t saying much.
I’m trying to think of a coach we’ve had who’s gone from so highly touted (as Lake was as DB coach) to so loathed. I don’t think people ever disliked Lambright or Gilby.
Most people wanted Gilby gone shortly into year two if not sooner.
I personally thought he was overrated as an OC. Dominant defenses in 90-91 kept giving him back the ball and the other team usually gave up after controlling UWs offense for several possessions.
Most people wanted the interim tag to stay an interim and never have a 2nd year. People forget that.

There were Gilby doogs too though, led by butler cabin who always valued being buddies with the staff over wins.
Lake firing a pre-emptive strike since his 2022 recruiting class will include signees who picked UW over Rice, Whitworth and the Merchant Marine Academy.
TBH, surprised he pursued transfers last spring from academic wastelands like Oklahoma and Texas Tech,
*In fairness to @CoachLakeUDub, it appears his high-minded approach was put into place this summer after the Ducks helped themselves to Sir Mells and Ben Roberts off UW's commitment list.
I think Gilby was far more self aware than Lake is, however. Lake thinks he’s doing well and buys into his own nonsense. Gilby knew he was in over his head after probably the first year and definitely the second.
His 2022 commits do have offers from some quality academic institutions so I see his point. Unfortunately for Jimmy that gets him a class currently ranked 8th in the conference. I think MC will take his currently 8th ranked class and not lose too much sleep over academic smack. Jimmy, why not "we battle Oregon on and off the field".
Not sure why everyone is wigging about this statement. It throws shade on Oregon's shitty academics - which you should be doing.
We are fourth in the conference for academics. UCLA, U$C, Cal, and Stanford are all ranked higher. Don’t play the “academics” bullshit if we aren’t even top three. I’m a UW alum and smh at the amount of doogs in this thread. UW is great academically but no one bats an eye outside the northwest.

A lot of words to say jimmy needs to be fired.

In their minds, Jimmy just beat them where it really counts.
If he does win it will be funny like PGOS was saying and if he loses it compounds the embarrassment which makes firing him that much closer.
not whatever the fuck @HoodHusky is doing.
