    It’s not a stupid take, but it has been a mixed bag. My county’s sheriff was early in saying, “Yeah, fuck off Jay, not enforcing any of this.” Frankly I’m having a hard tim thinking of egregious enforcement in Washington, although I’m sure it’s happened, probably in Seattle. Easy example in Oregon was that hair salon in Salem.

    Re my° sheriff, proggies were enraged that he was zealously enforcing—I was about to say law, but merely executive orders. Anyhow, a month later, those same people demanded to defund the police. Pro-lockdown, anti-police hypocrites are the worst.

    The worst people during this entire mask fiasco have been the employees/customers acting as the police. Well, thinking they are the police.

    I ran across that part at least 5 times at a Fred Meyer, a seafood market*, grocery store, clothing store*, and a restaurant*.

    *Left because I just did not want to spend my money there.

    WL and LO police depts. are board to death. Corvallis PD pretty much the same. Once got stopped for riding my bike on the wrong side of the street a block from my house. I shit you not, he wheeled around and nailed me.

    Another ticketed me for failure to come to a complete stop at a 4 way. I asked for his definition of a complete stop. He read it to me, I told him that's exactly what I did as he handed me a ticket. Also told him I saw him in the porking lot where he was hiding near the 4 way so I made sure I stopped.

    Ex-Wife told me to zip it. Fat little shit on his motor bike. FTG. She later got pulled over a few blocks from our place for going 5mph over the limit. I told her that's why I gave bike cop shit, they just F with people in that town.

    Having worked in a grocery store during this shit I can tell you when the mask mandates were tied to fines for non compliance my managers asked people to wear their masks, asked them to cover their noses etc. I told my boss I wasn’t running the door. I didn’t feel comfortable telling someone what hoops they had to jump thorough in order to buy food. Some of my coworkers loved it. That said, the most recent “mandates” don’t have teeth like the original. A customer can’t call a snitch line and have the store fined like they could a year ago. If people aren’t wearing their masks we let them be.

    Fry's and Albertson's/Safeway tried to bring back the mask edict bullshit a few weeks ago. The scared sheep will wear them no matter what. Everyone else, including Bill, ignores it.
