No offense to anyone who is a real estate agent but its a profession I have little respect for because the qualifications for entry are so low. Kim is perfect evidence. He probably has a high school education but his verbal skills are barely at a high school level. Its similar to the financial world where there is a ton of dead weight at the bottom that are basically aggressive salesman. At least the educational requirements for that are usually more stringent.
His bio lists no credible accomplishments, skills or anything that can be verified. It's vague on purpose. He may have been a top 20 producer for 1 year in the past or there may be only 25 producers in his jurisdiction. Fact is, if he really was what his bio said then he'd be making enough money where that would be his focus and not a recruiting website. And if he was really good he would be working in the Seattle area and not south King County.

Agree with your basic premise, but there are some incredibly sharp real estate folks out there. The really, really good ones usually end up in commercial, or high end residential, at least in my admittedly semi-limited experience.
Point...lots of real estate folks are slack jawed mouth breathers (see Kim), but there are some really sharp ones. The sharp ones don't end up with Fatters as a life partner/sidekick. They drive six figure cars and bang 10's.
First review is in! Funny as fuck! What a great week for this bored!
I moved here from California in 2007 and was looking for a nice 3 BD, 2 BA house in Renton. After hearing about Mr. Grinolds from some co-workers, I called him up. We met at Starbucks over a banana, and I knew after about 5 minutes of talking with Mr. Grinolds that he lived up to his reputation as being very knowledge-able and experienced.
After a few showings, I found the house of my dreams in Renton, near my job. I had a few doubts before offering, mostly regarding my unease the market. I was wary, but Mr. Grinolds assured me that the housing market is only going to continue going up and in about 5 years I should be able to see a 50% increase in value on my house. Awesome, a real estate agent who has the market dialed in!
A few months later after a successful purchase, the bubble burst and I lost everything. I was angry at first, but Mr. Grinolds calmed me down and I now know that his assurance that the market going up was only what he was hearing. Clearly I needed to learn the difference. Despite living on the streets of Kent and using Starbucks wifi to write this review, I learned a valuable lesson thanks to Mr. Grinolds. I would recommend him to anyone.

5 Reasons Why I'd Recommend Kim Grinolds 1. Kim is the best agent in the game. He has 20 years of experience, and will do whatever it takes to find your dream house.
2. Top flight assistants. They average 483 lbs. Fetters, Eklund, John B, these boys have an attitude and are ready to rumble.
3. Marshall Cherrington. A new intern and a new attitude. Many people around the office have noted the differences between Marshall and Jyot Sandhu.
4. Speed, speed, speed. This is the fastest group Kim has ever had working for him. Purpledawgfan, AuburnDawg, Brents, Section14A. The newbies will be experienced, but will provide a new dimension of speed Kim's never had before.
5. Time of Possession. Kim can dominate the competition and shorten the time it takes for you to take possession of your new house. The more Kim can shorten the game and keep other buyers away, the better chance you have of getting your house.
I think you'll buy your dream house rather easily, say $341,700? - Mick Dabone (Bought a home with Kim Grinolds in 2014 in Lewis County, WA)
I'll never trust Sark again I took over as the head football coach at the University of Washington in December of 2013, and needed to find a house in the Seattle area. My predecessor Steve Sarkisian recommended that I talk to Kim Grinolds, lauding his experience and knowledge of the Seattle real estate market.
My experience was frustrating, to say the least. Kim didn´t really seem to care about my needs, he just kept asking for access to the football program and trying to get me to buy a house within walking distance of Vino at the Landing, a low-rent wine bar in Renton. When we'd meet for dinner to go over listings, he continuously tried to recommend cabs that drank like merlots, whatever the hell that means. Not once did he show me a listing near the University, they were all in South King County. I finally told him he was gone. I didn't even give him a warning.
After I fired him as my agent, he continued to hound me for information on the football program. He even "accidentally" left his Member's Only jacket in my office after my kick-ass introductory presser to give himself a reason to come talk to me. When he came back, he brought this obscenely large football and asked me to autograph it. I promptly told him to LEAVE! I would not recommend Kim to anyone, except maybe Sark. They deserve each other. And 0-12. Abundance. - Chris Peterman (Bought a home with Kim Grinolds in 2014 in Seattle, WA)

You are assuming people are actually considering hiring him. That is false.
