well thank god that he is not interested because after we stumble through this year AND next year and continue getting crap recruits, he is quite obviously our next coach

USC isn’t as good of a job as it was 10 years ago.
Disagree. Nothing has changed fundamentally with SC.
This is the kind of thing people always say about elite programs when they are down for awhile.
SC is a good coach from being elite, same as ever.
This… the boosters DGAF about rules and perception. You have all the talent, NIL and Hollywood success. Urban steps on campus and they are ranked top 4 next season and competing for BCS

I think it takes longer than that. Recruiting has not been at that elite level. Took Pete a year to get things right there, took Saban a year to get Bama reset.
If they hired Urban this offseason they'd be a playoff team in 2023.

You can portal a national championship team now especially with NIL. You literally can take all the 5 star talent and put together a team in months Look what Ericsson did with that’ Oregon State team and the little bit of brown bag delivery he had. Urban knows recruiting, he knows the West Coast. He has assistants in place and USC can pay for them.
USC would get a lot of upper class Ohio State kids that still remember what it was like to play for a legend. They would be an immediate upgrade over what USC has now and would help usher in a quicker culture change. The portal would get USC into the top 15 the first year and high end recruiting gets them in the playoff race in year two and in the playoff spot in year three.

They don’t have depth like normal and their lines are kind of crappy.
Depth doesn’t matter unless there are injuries. Their offensive line may take a couple of years to solve.
Other than that everyone that thinks a good coach doesn’t dominate there is stupid. They have only hired one good coach since John Robinson’s First stint though. That’s the problem.
