Right this moment, in fact, yes. Solid Ken Burns production.

Found the Mets 30 for 30 more entertaining.

Ali was way way way ahead of his time.

Didn't know he had done a doc on Ali.

'Nam and Cuntry music were both terrific so, hopefully, this is up to par.

I would but I have the story memorized from watching and reading everything over the last 60 years or so

Glad to hear it's well done

Kids today need to understand the price he paid and why he paid it

I started Episode 1 last night.

So white copper in Louisville gets young Ali interested in boxing as a 12 years old.

    So many layers indeed.

In 8th grade we had an assignment to write a paper on someone we admired. I did Ali even though the Nation of Islam was kind of scary to a young Race Bannon in white bread Olympia

But I did admire the stand he took and was anti war myself. He could have stepped forward and spent two years traveling the world doing exhibitions. Instead he had a REAL 5 year prison term over his head that he fought for three years.

Over time even the adults who hated him at the time came to admire that. People tend to admire that which is real

There are other aspects of his life that haven't aged as well but no one is perfect

Ali liked to get a little somethin' somethin' all the f'ing time. Even though he was married.

Rumor has it he was in a threesome the night before the first Norton fight.
