Issues that will come to light once Lake is fired
- His hands were tied with his staff choices because Cohen wasn't willing to pay top dollar. So that's why Lake was stuck with with John Donovan as OC and "Bob "shoulda been fired after 2019 at the latest" Gregory as DC.
- UW's administration was asleep at the wheel on NIL Legislation and that's why we were getting our asses kicked in recruiting by Ohio State and Oregon
- Only playing 4 games in 2020 really made it tough this season
- The strict Covid restrictions in Seattle/King County made it tough to get in full-scale workouts and conditioning during the offseason
- Jimmy really wanted to play Sam and felt it would make the team better, but Damon wanted to hold him out this season because the OL was unsettled
- Said the staff was really pointing to 2022 and next season had a chance to be "special" when it was all said and done

You could even hire FCS and lower head coaches for that kind of money.
Side note that has very little to nothing to do with your post, I never really cared for the talk about coaches salaries. They get paid what they get paid. When Pete was going 8-5 in 2019 posters here would bring up that we were paying him 3.5 mil or whatever to go 4-5 in the PAC 12. It would have been just as bad if he was getting paid $100,000. Except for talk about buyouts, their salaries aren’t important and are irrelevant. The expectations at UW are to win PAC 12 titles often and compete for them every single year.
