Imagine having an extra $130k in the budget to hire the best OC you can afford.
The budget was never an issue when Jimmy was looking to hire an OC. Kellen Moore was offered a 3 year 3.6 mill contract. He declined and Jimmy moved onto Donovan.
Jimmy offered Kellen Moore half of what the Cowboys are paying him.

Hasn't Lake's assistant salary pool went down around a million since when Pete was here. Has that extra money stayed in the FB program and is being used in different departments?
Has the pool gone down or has he just settled for guys who came cheap?
I'm all for bashing Cohen but literally nothing about the Lake era has screamed aggressive, risk taker.
My guess is Jenn said "we might need to trim the budget a bit" and "Jimmy said no problem, I can get guys for even less than that".
Ultimately it's Jenn's job to give him money to work with but it's Jimmy's job to fight for the best for his program.

He's yet to show that fight.
What part of him saying he wanted to be an aggressive, attacking physical team do you not believe??!!?!!!

I’m hearing Jimmy has a consultant in the building that can help him navigate tricky leadership issues.
I expect to see the team host Simone Biles to address overcoming hardship to achieve long term goals.

Apples and Oranges.
3/$3.6 is top of the market for a Pac-12 cordinator. Kellen Moore leveraged the offer into a new HC in waiting deal.
In 2010 Oregon would have got one of those guys and USC another. UW wouldn't have got any so we? actually haven't lost any ground so we have that going for us which is nice
Can UW overcome the death of west coast football with a great coach and can do attitude? Of course.

While I understand the argument, $6 Million/ 3 years >>> $3-3.6 Million/ 3 years for a 33 year old building his career.

As long as the offense in Dallas clicks they could go Owen and he's untouchable and become the Dallas HC at $5+ mil a year for three years, minimum. He ain't no dummy.
