Jake Browning had a lot of company in sucking. Pour one out for the last Pac 12 playoff team

    That defense was chinsanely good.

Clemson dropping 35 on them when it mattered most is still mind blowing to me.

My memory is that Sark kept dialing up 3 and outs

And Clemson was that good on offense

Watson wasn't it? A great quarterback in college wins
Sark was by far the worst player on that defense. Also, Clemson had insane wideouts that year

That Clemson team opened a lot of our eyes to what difference makers big, elite receivers are at the college level. They beat Bammer and I don't think Clemson had that high of a "blue chip ratio" at that time outside of their skill guys. Most of that roster was from before their recruiting reached its current level.

IIRC That had a lot to do with the dooging over guys like Spiker, Jones, et al and the meltdown over Joe Ngata.

It was the Wes Welker type receiver who caught the game winner

We could have won that game if brownsox decided not to soil his pants.

Being there I just felt like UW played a shitty game, and SC viewed them as the giant to knock off. I didn't see how UW was dominated, and still don't watching the replay.

Way too much energy on Stanford and not nearly enough on SC, the better of the two, that season. No one knew Stanford was done yet.

On a textbook example of a pick play they used to call in football back in the day.

Stanford actually ended up 10-3 that season.

SC was written off because of the 1-3 start. Blowout loss against Bama followed by losses to Utah and Stanford.

Yep Stanford righted the ship and finished like 12th in the country.
