    It's very hard to see why the prior DA gave him that deal. If he'd taken the 5th in a civil trial, the jury would have been instructed that they could infer his answer would be incriminating. Seems like the State gave up its power to prosecute for no tangible net benefit to the victim.

    But today's decision is correct.

    H is right and so is she - the DA had no case so he went for the civil win and gave him immunity then tried to double back. Criminals have rights too.

    Is 2021 America ready for that kind of nuance or does she go down the drain

    Look at the Chauvin trial. No change of venue granted. Jurors were scared. City announced the $27 million settlement during the trial. Coroner badgered into changing the cause of death. You can feel the dazzler's concern for due process. Just like the two Trump impeachments with no evidence of a crime. None necessary.
