I've been on a Metallica kick the past few weeks. Found this re-record of the And Justice for All album with the bass levels brought up. Apparently Lars dialed the bass guitar levels down to better showcase himself. The bass on this is kinda comically pulled forward beyond normal.

AJFA is actually my favorite Metallica record. Better than @Swaye 's beloved Master of Puppets in my opinion. Sacrilege I know.

I love the record's unique, thin sounds will the bass dialed back.

I think Master of Puppets is their Magnum Opus and AJFA is just non-stop, kick ass, sustained energy. Both great for their own reasons, but I do like AJFA having lengthier tracks.

Both epic. Throw in Lightning and that's the best trifecta in metal history.
