I read some short Rand novel at work (there was a lot of downtime) last spring out of curiousity. I can't even remember the name of it. It was pretty much what MarkKoopman described.

Jimmy doesn't need any assistance, government or otherwise. Jimmy can kill a bear, hunt for food, start a Fortune 500 company, and wrestle an alligator, and if you don't buy into my narrative, you're probably a socialist bent on the destruction of Westetn Society. I can see why a weasel like Paul Ryan made his staff read her books.

    Derp

Great pt. I take it all back.

Atlas Shrugged reminds me of one of those Touchdown for Tommy like books from the 50's. Simple minded drivel

This. Anybody I've ever met that is still an Ayn Rand fan, over the age of 25, had mental or emotional issues... similar to those that are hardcore rightwing christians.
Fascinating. Innovation and self-reliance, is "Simple minded drivel", and John Galt being as Christian as Karl fucking Marx, is similar to "hardcore rightwing christians" both mentally and emotionally. You two must have found the holy grail. . . The "Free" Lunch Cafe. Will you please share the location of it please?
