    Harbaugh talked shit about Sark and Holt's salaries afte the game too. That game was brutal.

    I never said that Harbaugh wasn't a good coach. His results speak for themselves.

    My opinion of him though is that he's just not a good person, completely self absorbed, and has absolutely no interest in his players well doing unless they coincide with his interests.

    Someone pointed out Bob Knight ... Knight's an asshole but he's got his players best interests at heart at the end of the day. Probably the biggest problem he ran into is that the times changed and his message became dated.

    I have no doubt that Petersen has the ability to be an ass when needed. I just feel that he knows when to use it.

    In contrast, Sark is too busy being butthurt about not having his players Facebook friend him.

    Really? There is a big difference in thinking someone is a douchebag and not a good person. I haven't heard stories of players who hate Harbaugh's guts. Sure Baldwin and Sherman have both been outspoken they aren't a fan of him, they are the type of personalities though that don't work with Jim's blue collared approach. This is also what makes PC a fantastic coach, he is able to take those type of players and make them extremely productive by letting them be themselves.

    I guess it boils down to semantics and what qualifies someone as "not a good person", which is opinion I suppose. To me, a bad person is someone who pushes people in wheelchairs down flights of stairs and rapes people in parking lots. Not someone who is stubborn and comes off as a douchebag. Listening to Harbaugh's post game interviews (where he sounds like he just came off a treadmill and doesn't know how to speak in public) I rarely (if ever) hear him throw players under the bus, if anything he supports his players (especially Kaep even when he sucks).

    I had a discussion with one of my roomates who is a 49ers fan the other day. SF fans hate Carroll and Seattle fans hate Harbaugh. You switch the hats and 49ers fans hate Harbaugh and Seattle fans hate Carroll for the exact same reasons. It is just a homer mindset that most have which they can't overcome.

    Congrats Tequilla you batied me into a Tequilla like response. We are just going to have to disagree on this matter then I suppose.
    Agree. TL, but I still read it. Harbaugh might be a giant dick, but he's not Jerry Sandusky.

    I liked Pete at USC. I always loved how pumped up he gets. He has a rare ability to be how he is, but it's not corny. I don't think many could pull it off.
    The only reason it's not corny is because that's who he is. If Mora, Peterman, Saban, or any other serious coach tried to be rah rah like that, it would be corny as shit because it would be disingenuous. There's more to Pete than rah rah, however. That guy is slick as can be and pushes the boundaries wherever he can. He may be super upbeat, but he's a cold blooded killer and wants to win at all costs.

    I think that is what most of us hated most about Sark is he was so corny and not real. One game he'd act like a super hard coach and the other act like Pete.

    That's Sarks biggest flaw as a coach is he doesn't know who he is. One year he is running the 4-3 defense, the other 3-4. One year he is saying his pro style offense will stand the test of time then the next goes full spread to a hurry up offense. He is a coach completely in over his head which we've been saying this whole time.

    Watching him crash and burn at USC is going to be awesome to watch from a distance.

    There's definitely a bit of us against the world from Harbaugh. Perhaps I'm being slightly too harsh on him ... he just doesn't strike me as the kind of guy that I'd want anything to do with.

    In contrast, I've never hated Petey ... even when he was at SC. He's got some of his flaws and if you are on the other side of it, Petey's pom pom's could definitely be annoying. But I've never got the impression from him that he doesn't care about his players and puts himself above them. He's very quick to give praise, even to the other team (which Harbaugh will never do).

    That being said, I've never suggested that Harbaugh isn't a good coach. What he has done at Stanford and at San Francisco has been top notch. Stanford is starting to slip back a bit under David Shaw (which I predicted they would). They are still good as their upperclassmen last year were still from Harbaugh's classes. There's a huge gap between Shaw and Harbaugh. Same deal with Helfrich and The Chipster.

    There were some extremely interesting articles that came out about him during this season. One of them was about how he would go deep into the ghetto to recruit players to USC. Can you imagine Sarkingham having the balls to drag his fat ass away from his house boat or whatever palace he lives in now to do that? Guy has huge balls and it shows on the field.

    Pretty much how I feel as well. Everyone loves to point out that Doug Baldwin and Richard Sherman have only said bad things about him. I don't know how many coaches could get the same production out of those 2 as PC does. Mainly he lets them run their mouths and be themselves. Most if not all coaches in the NFL would have told Sherman and Baldwin to shut the fuck up by now and their productivity would probably landslide.
