    Funny thing is, Dick did stuff like start the EPA and OSHA that are icons of liberalism today. He was actually pretty moderate, went to China and got out of Vietnam. I know this isn't the tug but its a fascinating part of our history

    The Throbber was a McGovern guy - but mostly because his fourth grade teacher who was marginally hot was for McGovern. And in his little undeveloped libido, young Throbber thought that currying favor would result in the equivalent of a hand job...even though the first boner was still a couple years away.

    Somehow in the mock electoral college vote conducted, the Throbber got first pick and choose California -to wit he immediately threw them all to McGovern.

    And then proceeded to get destroyed by the rest of the class who didn't like brown nosers.

    Life lesson right thur in that moment.
