Survivors of the 2017 shooting of Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., on Friday ripped the FBI for reportedly ruling that the incident was a form of "suicide by cop" and not politically motivated, with Scalise himself calling the agency's conclusion "disturbing."

Rep. Brad Wenstrup, R-Ohio, last week said during a House Intelligence Committee meeting with FBI Director Christopher Wray that agency officials told him and other legislators that the shooting, which occurred at a practice session for the congressional GOP baseball team, was the suspect’s way of committing "suicide by cop," and asked Wray to publicly declare the incident an act of terrorism. Wenstrup later sent the FBI a letter asking for a review.

After the FBI told aides and others in attendance that they had determined the attack was "suicide by cop," "We all said that’s not accurate," Matt Mika, a lobbyist for Tyson Foods who acts as a coach for the team and was wounded in the shooting, told Fox News.

He added that there was minimal police presence in the area, with then-House Majority Whip Scalise having a security detail that included plainclothes officers who were sitting in an unmarked vehicle at the time.

"He went there to kill Republicans, and he had a list of Republicans in his pocket," Scalise told Fox News this week. "He specifically asked if that was the Republican practice before he went back and got his guns and came out. He didn't know the security detail with me were cops, because they were plainclothes officers."

If you feel that the FBI is a corrupt and partisan institution you're a right wing conspiracy nut who should be hunted down and possibly jailed, if you feel that police are hunting down and murdering black folks you should be listened to and your fears should be addressed with new laws.

The damage Obama did to the Federal Bureaucracy through politicization was enormous. Biden is now continuing that politicization.

I have grave concerns about this, however, it isn't a voting issue for me. High character and all that, of course.

Obama put naked partisans in charge of the FBI, CIA, NSA and DOJ. These people in turn larded the senior management in these agencies with like minded people. Now if you're a mid to high level employee who is looking to build a career and advance in either one of those agencies are you going to continue to be even handed and non-partisan in the way you carry out your duties or are you going execute the partisan wishes of your superiors?

Peter Strzok and Lisa Page aren't anomalies, they are the predictable result of what you get when you've turned an agency into partisan left-wing club who sees their mission as protecting the Rat party.

Eric Holder, the worst, most partisan and incompetent AG in U.S. history is now getting $2300 per hour in private practice. Tell me his appointment had nothing to do with his skin color.

Obama played the race game a lot. Holder is all the proof we need.

Bubba appointed an incompetent woman to be our first sort of female attorney general. Pretty sure even bubba wasn't hitting that. Janet never married for some odd reason. Pretty sure she was the first lesbian AG.

The FBI released documents sought related to the death of former Democrat National Committee voter expansion data director Seth Rich, and a lawyer says it shows no signs of what has been considered a robbery murder.

Among the findings in the 68 pages released of the 576 the FBI has denoted as related to Rich, a lawyer found it concerning it is unknown whether anything was deleted on Rich's personal laptop, The Epoch Times reported.

One page read, "given [redacted] it is conceivable that an individual or group would want to pay for his death," according to the report.

"That doesn't sound like a random street robbery," lawyer Ty Clevenger told the Times.

Also, the documents show nothing was stolen in what law enforcement has publicly considered a robbery attempt and suggest it is "conceivable" someone might have paid for Rich's death, according to the report.

The latter "shows that their whole narrative is falling apart," Clevenger told the Times. "It's a step in the right direction."

Much of the 68 pages released was redacted and there remains a large amount of pages sought via a Freedom of Information Act request, the Times reported.

Given how politicized the FBI is now would it really shock anyone to find out that the FBI covered this up? The FBI has had a copy of Hunter Biden's laptop for nearly a year and a half now. They are still supposedly "investigating" it.

I naively used to believe that this kind of corruption didn't exist in our government but when you see what has transpired since Obama's first term from the IRS harassing conservative groups to the State Department cover ups on behalf of Hillary and the DOJ/FBI role in spying on Trump our Federal Government is nothing more than an arm of the DNC.

True, however, this clearly isn't a voting issue. High character is what is important.

Being the VP when this corruption was institutionalized requires a very high character. His vote makes perfect sense.
