It’s not. But if it was and Ramsey thinks so, isn’t going anti-Ramsey and going insanely in debt the answer?

I went to the store at 5a.m. this morning. I bought some vegetables, a couple coffee drinks, some premium sliced turkey and bacon. The total was almost $50. Prices are going up.

What does the hookers and blow index stand at right now vs. this time a year ago?

How much did this exactly total 1 year ago?

Pretty much the same. Inefficient supply chains get passed on to the consumer. Meat especially.

Pre covid the rib steaks were always "on sale". Since Covid they've been full price.

Make your own coffee and stop buying lattes. I just saved you $15, you’re welcome

Well let's see, I buy Primotaglia Turkey... They used to be $5.99 a package, then it went to $6.99, and now it's $8.39

The bacon I buy is now $7.99, and it was about $5.49 a year ago

The coffee drinks I buy are $1 more

The veggies seem like they're up by about 20%

So if today the total was $48, a year ago it would have been around $40

I've never bought a latte for myself in my entire lifetime

Yup. I’m pretty sure we had a thread a month or two talking about this. You think the price of gas has caused economic problems, wait until we see food or water prices go up.

If COVID didn’t kill some restaurants, this will.

I don’t know how much of it can be attributed to COVID supply chain issues or to inflation, but it’s probably abundance.

This, to me, is the key question. Supply chain issues are temporary and fixable; the type of inflation @HoustonHusky talks about is more problematic IMO.
