That picture says it all to me. It could have been an opportunity to talk about using non lethal force more but if they’re going to go after the cop, I’m out.
Which, frankly, is a valid discussion. I personally don't think the cop has any choice but to shoot at the center of mass when it's such a quick procession of events. Aiming for the legs or using a taser is just simply too low percentage of a move in that situation (and what happens if the legs are hit, the girl is still stabbed and killed, and then the stabber later bleeds out from having an artery struck?). But reasonable people can at least disagree on that.

Fair, but probably shouldn't be shocked. Surprised is fair. I've got a healthy dose of conservatism in me; but I'll always struggle to be on any "Team X". Perhaps it was my time in the Philosophy dep't. IDK. I always see something competing with a particular point of view.
Probably my biggest personal point of departure from Tug Bros conservatism is being what I'm called around here as an establishment Republican. I certainly don't fit neatly into anybody's definition of a populist.

I've read some interesting pieces suggesting one potential problem with the force these days is that its ranks include a good amount of ex-military who actually saw action, and that has I guess some predictable consequences. Don't know. But we need cops. I'm clearer on that than anything else. Saw the clip. The guy had to shoot. I can't believe we're even talking about it.
And Lebron is dumb. I'm pretty clear about that too. Athletes are entitled to express their views; but if they're stupid views then they should be called out. James was likely just carried through high school because of his ridiculous ability and it shows every time he opens his mouth. He's not alone btw. He's just one of the dozen or so who thinks we need his advice.
