Downtown is a shit hole (so is Portland, don’t know how they still have the blazers)

Rose Garden isn't downtown, and while the area around the arena has had places shut down, Mississippi and Williams just up the hill still retained the best places to eat/drink before a game anyways.
Being able to go to Grains of Wrath (took over after shitty Lompaq brewery closed down) is an overall improvement.

That is true, the Moda Center is pretty far away from the crap going on in Portland. Seattle wouldn't have that luxury.
