I worked at Amazon and there was a Union push in the early days. The fact is that people would rather have the Amazon benefits, stock, etc. Although it's not told in the media, the Amazon employees have a lot of say and influence on how work can be done and I don't think they want to lose that power with having a union as the middle man.

I think we need to let some lefties that don’t work for Amazon weigh in.

I know a lot of Alabamans. They don't like unions and don't think they're necessary.

They also seem to like going to church and fucking their incredibly hot Christian wives.

A lot of the South has it going on.

8 of the 10 poorest states in America are in the south. Including Alabama. The only thing they have “going on” is poverty.

You have clearly never been to the South. Your ignorance knows no bounds.

California accounts for 12% of the population. It also accounts for 30% of the entire nations welfare cases.

Before spouting your ignorance you might want to educate yourself first.

How about these states in the top 10 as a % of population on welfare? New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Oklahoma, Virginia.

Poor states? What does that even mean?

You're fucking clueless. The South is the shit. Wonderful people, great culture. Food for days. Oh, and BLACK people - a lot of them...not some theoretical Mercer Island diversity.

Ask Boeing why they are moving to South Carolina. Or any number of corporations fleeing the woke west/north.

You're fucked in the head with your normal stereotyping and CRT generalizations.

Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi are all in the top 5 of that stat. Virginia is the only southern state not in the top 25. Every other southern state is on the top half of states for % of population on welfare.

Conservative economic policies don’t work, this fact is beyond dispute.

You’re take is too simplistic. States have different welfare requirements. Some states may have more people enrolled because its simply easier to qualify. The federal guidelines are based largely on national poverty rates, which are inflated by high cost living states like New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington.

Household income isn’t the end all in poverty. It also has a lot to do with the cost of living in your area. I’d argue that a household of 4 with $30k annual income could live ok in the south, while this same family in the west coast or northeast would be on the streets.

    See also 'peabrains'.

Everything is black/white with @TheKobeStopper seen through the Mercer Island prism.

    No context.
