Rented a home with 3 buddies back in the day. Top of Magnolia overlooking the space needle and the shoreline. Great bachelor pad.

The owners wouldn't enclose one of the bath tubs so we could have a shower so we decided to build an enclosure ourselves. Before we tore drywall down we noticed that on the opposite side of the wall there was a large HVAC intake vent but no HVAC duct work connected to it. We took it off and found a pretty large storage area encased in metal with some money, old football cards, really old pocket watches and wrist watches and some family heirloom type stuff (an old wedding veil, pressed and in a box, some photos, and a couple of ceramic decorations). Nothing of any value really but it was a cool find. It turns out the original inhabitants of the house both died there so no one knew about the hiding place. The gentleman who died after his wife had worked for the railroad and the pocket watches were given to him to keep accurate time when he was working the tracks in the Ballard area way back when. The owners of the house found the surviving relatives and gave them everything we found.

    CSB. Seriously.
