What discount rate should I use to NPV the massive negative cash flow from all the taxes and inflation related costs of living I'll be tossing out the window vs. the $1400 I won't get?

Shouldn't make any difference what number you use. Slo Joe and his merry Men, women and various other sexes just pick a number and throw up. $2000? $1400? $1.9 trillion (9% for Covid, of course) Just pick one. It'll be ok.

So when Trump's $2.2 trillion CARES act passed, were you equally pissed?

Somehow we ended up with a small check during round 1 of COVID stim. I think it was because of the kids I still have as dependents. I didn’t really look into the why, I just divvied it up to them. They were impacted due to the part time jobs they had were cut. So it was good to give them some spending $.
I didn’t need it. Honestly the kids didn’t “need” it either.

How much of that went overseas?
How much of it went to large corporations via direct funds or future tax benefits? Both bills are/were enormous and incredibly wasteful. This isn't the Tug - we acknowledge government waste of all stripes in this club.
