    I read in a few places years ago that he also didn't have much of a workout program in place. Not sure if that's true, but he could have avoided injuries and extended his prime.

    I loved Griffey. That being said, in the above interview he said his dad told him always to outwork others and that's what he did. Well, there were many times he wouldn't run out a routine ground ball to first. He'd just nonchalantly jogged down the line. So that part is not true.
