And the average tax rate in Denmark is 45%. Can you address the fact that McDonalds can afford to pay workers $22 an hour in Denmark but can’t afford $15 here?

Denmark has a higher average tax rate and a higher corporate tax rate.

The idea that no minimum wage makes wages go up is a nice capitalist fairy tale to tell yourself but it doesn’t explain why McDonalds can’t pay higher wages with a minimum wage.

It doesn’t really seem like you’ve addressed it at all, more like you just found someone on Twitter that’s as economically illiterate as you are.

The corporate tax rate is 22% in Denmark

McDonald's pays what they want without government intervention in both countries

In the US burger flipping isn't a career. Maybe in Denmark it us because of high personal taxes

A flipper in the US gets an earned income credit. That 22 bucks an hour at a 45% rate is about 12 bucks an hour

So is my 6 year old. Well, to be fair, he’ll be 7 tomorrow.

Finally, the meat of the argument. The rest of this is just you throwing shit at the wall.

What’s interesting about this is that we know we can create an economy where the market will demand McDonalds pays more. If you have high union membership and taxes are high, wages go up. But you don’t want that either.

You want people to suffer. Calling you guys fascists is too kind. There is no ideology here, it’s just hate. It’s really fucking weird too, a bunch old white people pissed off that their lives were great when they did nothing to earn it.

And 5 weeks vacation and subsidized child care and parental leave and a pension. What an awful existence that must be. If only someone would make them pull themselves up by their bootstraps.
