the hit on sidney rice's post route in the 3rd Q yesterday was a CLEAN decleater that was led with all shoulder.....and the guy got 15. this is 1 of hundreds of examples this year. do away with pads, helmets, lineman, etc and just play flag football already.

The "penalty" in the Cincy/Dallas game was brutal too. Textbook hit, led with his shoulder and drilled Dez in the ribs, but because the hit was so hard and Dez's head snapped back, some ref 25+ yards away tossed his flag even though the ref closest to the play didn't. There was another one in the Green Bay/Detroit game that was called that was pretty ridiculous too, but not nearly as egregious as the hit on Dez.

Rice after the game said it was a clean hit. Was the definition of how the league tells you to hit a guy.

I don't watch a ton of NFL games but i did see the Miami game where the LB hit Tanneyhill and got flagged 15. Then the league tacked on a fine knowing full well that is was bullshit.


That just adds to why I gave up watching the NFL years ago....

Goodell cares about player safety. That's why he has Thursday night games weekly and is pushing for an 18-game schedule.
